WINCHESTER — Unbeaten James Wood cruised early and then pulled out a long third set for a 25-10, 25-12 29-27 triumph over Spring Mills (W.Va.) on Monday.

Taylor Heishman led the Colonels (8-0) with 10 kills. Leilani Burch notched eight kills, while Jessica Putnam and Taylor Robinson added six each. Kate Poppo made 19 digs, while Megan Hillyard added 13 digs and 28 assists. Yeakley Pullen smacked three aces. Heishman and Robinson blocked three shots each.

The Colonels host Hampshire (W.Va.) tonight.
