Russell gets job done for Colonels

Winchester — Dustin Russell learned the importance of first impressions a year ago.
So whether he’s asked to pitch or DH, swing away or bunt, the James Wood High School senior knows he can’t waste any opportunity early this season.
Russell did a bit of each of those Friday night, going 3-for-4, knocking in three runs and earning the victory out of the bullpen as the Colonels beat Handley 9-5 at R. Charles Hott Field.
