STERLING — Leading 3-2, Dominion scored four runs in the fifth inning to pull away for a victory over James Wood on Friday.

The Colonels (0-2) managed only two hits, both against Titans starter Mitchell Kay (51/3 innings, two runs, none earned, nine strikeouts, six walks).

For James Wood, Kevin Brown (stolen base) and Colby Monroe (one run) each had one hit. Brett Baker scored two runs for the Colonels.

Jacob Bell started for the Colonels and took the loss, giving up three runs (all earned), three hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out five batters.
