WINCHESTER — James Wood rolled to a Class 4 Northwestern District victory over Sherando on Thursday.

The Warriors improved to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the district, while Sherando dropped to 4-3, 2-2.

Singles winners: James Wood: No. 1 Josh Borromeo 8-5; No. 2 Ryan Stevens 8-6; No. 4 Josh Lucas 8-1; No. 5 Lane Pugh 8-2; No. 6 David Hutchins 8-1. Sherando: No. 3 Greyson Foltz 8-6.

Doubles winners: James Wood: No. 1 Borromeo-Stevens 9-8 (7-5 tiebreaker); No. 2 Scott Shepherd-Lucas 9-8 (7-5 tiebreaker); No. 3 Pugh-Hutchins 8-5.
