Handley cruises past Wood in girls' tennis

WINCHESTER — Handley didn’t drop a game in six matches as part of 9-0 Class 4 Northwestern District girls’ tennis win over James Wood on Monday at the Judges’ Slaughter Tennis Pavilion.

The Judges are 4-3 (3-0 district).

Singles winners: No. 1 Tess McAllister 8-2; No. 2 Ellie Bessette 8-0; No. 3 Eleanor Hessberg 8-0; No. 4 Mary Botros 8-3; No. 5 Lexy Plotts 8-0; No. 6 Liza Browning 8-0.

Doubles winners: No. 1 McAllister-Bessette 8-0; No. 2 Hessberg-Marta Meneau 8-0; No. 3 Leah Scully-Elise Mueller 9-7.
