Softball: James Wood 12, Tuscarora 10

WINCHESTER — Skyla Compton blasted a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a three-run rally as James Wood topped Tuscarora on Monday.

Trailing 10-9, the Colonels (6-1) put two runners on and got even when Brynnen Williams scored on a passed ball. Compton then blasted a 2-2 pitch over the center field fence for the game-winner. Paige Hahn had a grand slam for the Huskies (3-5).
