Wrestling - Max Horz Invitational

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va.- Sherando's Jacob Guthridge won the 113-pound title, helping the Warriors take third place at the Max Horz Invitational on Saturday.

Sherando went into the finals tied for first place with Hedgesville (W.Va.). Hedgesville won with 154 points, and Southern Garrett (Md.) followed in second with 153. Sherando took third with 147 points.

Sherando's Dan Mullaney (152) and B.J. Askew both finished as runners-up, and Colton Simmons (126) took third. The Warriors' Luis Santos (132), Jose Maravilla (138), Gabe Mead (182) and Travis Ritter (220) all placed fourth.

James Wood finished sixth with senior Mark Bean (220) taking first place. Jimmy Woznak (113) and Brandon Walton finished second, and Taylor Swartz (120), Chris Ewing (160) and Danny Funkhouser (170) all took third for the Colonels.
