Colonels sweep Skyline

WINCHESTER — James Wood senior Danny Aldstadt took first place overall in 17:50, helping the Colonels roll to a 16-40 win over Skyline in a Northwestern District dual cross country meet Wednesday.

With Aldstadt leading the way, the Colonels swept the first four spots with Luke Farinholt (18:24) finishing as the runner-up followed by Andrew Shade (18:40) and Mark Bohler (19:01) in fourth. Kieran Orndorff (20:04) took sixth to complete the Colonels’ team scoring.

In the girls’ meet, James Wood swept the top five spots for a perfect score, beating the Hawks 15-45. Senior Amber Hawkins took first (21:17) and Brittany Arnold followed in second (23:51) for James Wood. Madeline Long (24:09), Ellen Legge (25:35) and Halle Esparza (25:43) rounded out the Colonels’ team scoring.
